Fire Mountain Gems Contest Results
I've got my necklace with sculpted orchids "Les Fleurs des Fer" back from Fire Mountain. It took the third place in the polymer clay category!
The necklace is in my Etsy shop now.
I realized recently that I am drawn to the Etsy shops that show their jewelry on models. I think it is a good idea, since it is so difficult sometimes to imagine how a necklace would look like on a person. So, here is the result of my experiments in this direction.

I like the model shot - very smart.

Congrads! It's very elegant.
That's what I really like about Kato clay -- it's just so subtle, the colors you can mix up.
I've discovered I had to write down my proportions, to keep brack of the colors I want, for consistency. Do you do that, too?
Thank you for the comments and for the kind words.
Barbara,
I think keeping notes for the color mixtures is a wise thing to do. I, however, keep notes only when I am working on a tutorial. With everything else, once the cane is used up, I would have to re-invent the color combinations to make the same one...
Really? Maybe that's something I got from mixing perfumes, then. (Not because I'm uptight or anything, right? *g*)
I like the subtle color play. Any memory of what you used?
Just black to silver Kato clay, plus silver acrylic paint for highlights.
Great work........very nice Eugenia:)
