Sea Urchin Vases

These polymer clay and pearls vases will be the central pieces at my customer's wedding. They are made as a slightly bigger variation of my Sea Urchin Vase featured in my corresponding tutorial.

My customer is planning to use purple and green as the main colors in her décor, and sea urchins as the main motif – I was told that even her wedding cake is going to be in a sea urchin shape. I am sure it all is going to look wonderful together!

I used the colors and textures of these vases to make small gifts for the bride and her groom. It is a surprise, so I am not showing the pictures of these gifts until my customer receives them.

Two vases in earth tones, 7 ¾ “ by 2 1/4” each, polymer clay over glass, fresh-water pearls, and acrylic paint.

Custom Order - Hand-Sculpted Polymer Clay Beads with Blue Irises

I made these beads over weekend and shipped them out today. The bases of these beads are 1" in diameter and 1/4" thick. I really like how the irises turned out - they have lots of color with smooth transition from lilac to sky-blue and to dark blue with some purple hues. Just beautiful, if I may say so myself. My customer is going to make hair sticks adorned with these beads. Great idea, isn't it? Beads like that would also make interesting earrings or focal beads for a necklace.
